This year has been one of great growth in my writing career:
I’m published with three e-publishers: Loose Id, Liquid Silver Books and Aspen Mountain Press and, come 2009, ManLoverRomance Press.
I sw my first Urban Fantasy novel, The Shimmering Flame, published with Liquid Silver Books and my Irish fairy story, A Song of the Sidhe, find a new home with LSB, too. Coming soon will be An Imperfect Symmetry, the sequel to The Shimmering Flame.
Loose Id published my first m/m erotic paranormal/historical/MC/IR romance, The Sweet Flag
And soon, I’ll have a new website thanks to the talented Celia Kyle.
At the end of this month, it will be the Jewish New Year.
How fitting, indeed, to acknowledge these changes now around this time of the year.
So, tell me: What has been the greatest change in your life this year?

Great question, Jeanne,
Let’s see… This year evidence of growth showed itself in my ability to step up and take the office of president of my RWA chapter. I also went to the big national convention in San Francisco and represented my chapter there.
The reason I consider it growth, besides the obvious, is that I almost quit RWA last year when they really sh*t on epubs. What I decided to do instead was to make changes from the inside.
It’s no secret I really prefer epublishing to traditional New York with all its frustrations and challenges. My group is coming around too. I gave a workshop on epublishing at our conference in April. I had proposed the same workshop two years in a row and was turned down.
Sometimes persistence pays off.

Thanks for posting, Ash.
I was going over stuff for Ce for the new website and realized just how many
changes had gone on in my writinge career alone, this year.
Don’t even ask about my personal life! ;~D

That’s an amazing year! I remember (I think) when you were just getting your feet soaked. Ah, it’s been kinda the opposite for me, walking down a slightly different road, slowing down, personal issues kinda getting in the way of writing. Moving away from erotic romance a bit. So, this year I turned 51, wrote a fantasy without romance, stayed off the internet a lot more, lost two dress sizes, got over Epstein Barr and Lymes, started running again, and concentrated my efforts a little differently. Sometimes you have to stop spinning your wheels to see where you are, you know?
I’m glad for your successes!
