I definitely understand your feelings about this time of year. I am Christmas baby and love the holidays. Thanksgiving week marks the start of the insanity in my house. *grins* I love the decorations, the music, the baking, the time spent with family that comes with this particular time.

Here's an idea for you that I've done with my kids. It might not be writing you can sell, but it will definitely create memories to look back on. Most kids make little gifts for the grandparents, I help mine write little stories for them. They range from aliens to pirates to princesses to dragons and how they celebrate the holidays or anything else they want. After the stories are written, the kids can draw pictures and create a cover. Finally, we either bind the books ourselves (or if the story is really long) or take it to the local printers to get it bound.

i've got your story, hun. lol

it's hard to find time to write. i tend to do much of it after everyone -- and i mean EVERYONE -- goes to bed. the DH has picked up this annoying habit of reading over my shoulder and he makes me paranoid. I decorate my desktop. it's kinda mandatory, isn't it? Usually, i make a desktop picture. if it's decent, i post it other places in case anyone else wants a bit of holiday cheer. if not, well, everyone's gotta have a hobby. lol

What do you like best about this time of year when it comes to your writing? Do you find you're more likely to write or less likely with all the hubbaballoo of the holidays? Do you decorate your workspace? *grins* Curious minds wanna know!
